Heed the signs

Distance, I admit your powers are divine
Irrespective of pride and love, you are sublime.
As sharp and piercing you may be, I will align,
my soul of reason and emotion to my mind.

Caught in the conflict, emotions external
In this situation, would I be ever stable?
Taught, the mind with discipline is able.
to overcome the duality of existence
harmony of soul, mind and body,
self proclamation brings a false dawn,
when most believe, fated to be just torn.

Discipline of thoughts a miss lately,
Or just love taking over rightfully?
Be the established within the self,
indulge in readings of the shelf
Mind reigns supreme over all,
Act fast lest I may expect a fall.
With discipline the self shall exalt
a life of stability, truth and call
to duty and love. be aware
The power of distance, beware.
