The Lone Warrior

Guarded the fort with all my might
Never let the thought out of my sight
Until the day, clouds of freedom shielding light
Yearning for meaning but the heart takes flight.
Hollow but deep.

In illustrious Armour, enters the Dark Knight.
The one with the bark that always bites.
Uphill endeavor draws the flame ignite.
A trial of duty and time leads to delight.

The moment of mutuality rewrites
Aware of the entropic thirst of nature
Never will the soul denature.

I am firm and established.
Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit
Would his mind and heart permit?
To forge the path never there
Declare, compare and share
A leaf of self drifts falling
I have heard my heart's calling.
